Jerry Ross is a life-long entrepreneur who connects with audiences sharing his extensive entrepreneurial experience and insights on a variety of business topics. Since 2007, Jerry has been the Executive Director of The National Entrepreneur Center in Orlando, Florida, which has received national attention and international interest as a model for economic development. The Orlando Business Journal has dubbed him a “virtual business incubator” and named him one of Central Florida’s “Top 10 Businessmen to Watch.”  He is regularly quoted in national business publications and his business commentaries regularly appear on Nightly Business Report for PBS nationally.

Background

In addition to being a life-long entrepreneur, Jerry has held leadership positions with AT&T, Ohio Bell, Goal Systems Software, Ballantyne of Omaha, and The University of Central Florida.  His entrepreneurial ventures include Sky-Tracker of Florida, Semco Properties, Maverick Business Magazine, and J.Ross Enterprises, Inc.

In 2007, Jerry was selected in a nationwide search to become the Executive Director of the National Entrepreneur Center located in Orlando, Florida. The Center is home to 11 independent business support organizations that coached and trained over 12,000 business people last year alone.  Jerry has been quoted by the Orlando Sentinel, Florida Trend Magazine, Wealth Magazine, Florida Today, The Orlando Business Journal, Entrepreneur Magazine, and The Wall Street Journal on a variety of small business topics, and is a nationally recognized speaker on entrepreneurship, leadership, and economic development.

Jerry is currently a board member of Christian Help, The City of Orlando’s Minority Enterprise Board, Florida’s Innovation Caucus 2020, Heidelberg University’s Business Advisory Board, and serves as Vice Chair of Florida’s District Export Council. He has a Bachelors Degree in Business from Heidelberg University, an MBA from Dayton University, and is a Certified Business Consultant through the University of Central Florida.
