Maverick Business Group, Inc. 2004 – 2007, Owner

  • Publisher of Maverick Business Magazine.
  • Completed and distributed new business publication in eight weeks.
  • Produced and grew an acclaimed business magazine, and custom business training services.
  • Became recognized international speaker on marketing, sales, entrepreneurship, and leadership topics.

UCF Small Business Development Center 2002- 2004. Assistant Director-Marketing

  • Provide consulting to small business owners in all areas of marketing, management and sales.

Ballantyne of Omaha, Inc. 1998- 2001. Vice President- Entertainment Lighting Division

  • Hired as Vice President after selling SkyTracker of Florida, Inc. to Ballantyne.
  • Achieved personal sales of $ 1.6 million in 2000.
  • Provided lighting products for concert, film, entertainment, and aerospace applications.
  • Successfully managed and grew the operations of sales and rental offices in Orlando, Atlanta and Los Angeles.

SkyTracker of Florida, Inc. 1991- 1998. Owner

  • Purchased a floundering lighting company and became a worldwide supplier of entertainment lighting in four years.
  • Diversified into the film, aerospace and concert industries and attracted clients such as Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, NASA, NFL, NBA, and the Olympics.
  • Sold business to Ballantyne of Omaha, Inc. (NYSE: BTN) in a cash buyout.

Corey Promotions 1990-1991. General Manager-Florida Division

  • Transformed the company’s lighting division’s losses into profits.
  • Responsible for profitability and sales of promotions division, including billboards and property management.
  • Successfully managed the Florida territory and ultimately purchased the lighting division.

Goal Systems International 1986-1989. Regional Sales Manager

  • Sold mainframe computer software. Personally obtained clients such as the Pentagon, Library of Congress, & Fidelity Bank
  • Regional Sales Manager during company’s initial public offering of stock.
  • Management of regional sales personnel, attainment of sales quotas, develop budget and control sales operations.
  • Received Goal Systems’ Data Center Management Sales Award for Achievement.

Ohio Bell Telephone/ AT&T / Ameritech 1980-1986. Manager of Strategic Planning

  • Created new department for Ameritech that generated $1 million in sales in its first year of operation.
  • Promoted to Manager of Strategic Planning reporting to Vice President during historic divestiture of the Bell System after only two and a half years with the company.
  • Managerial experience in sales, sales training, strategic planning, and implementation of telemarketing center.
  • Combined technical and marketing talents to excel in a high-volume position spanning multiple departments.
